She holds a Bachelor's degree in Digital Performance Design from the China Academy of Art and a Master’s degree in Computational Arts from Goldsmiths, University of London. Her career spans across visual effects, game engines, and digital interaction. Snow’s creations are deeply influenced by her educational and life experiences in both China and the UK. Utilizing technologies such as generative art, machine learning, augmented reality, and motion capture, Snow is dedicated to producing narrative works that weave together personal and cultural memories, presenting emotionally resonant computational art.

Kitchen FM


Artistic computer animation , Unity , 02.2024


"Kitchen FM" is a brand-new attempt, which is located at the junction of the fantasy cyberspace and the real world. Historically, women have often been confined to the home and excluded from production, performing domestic chores that were seen as secondary, and this division of gender roles is deeply rooted in society and culture, especially in China's deeply rooted Confucian culture. Despite the fact that the status of women in modern society has improved significantly, gender stereotypes inherited from the patriarchal background still exist. In this context, we choose kitchen as a symbol of collection of invisible repression, and we co-constructed, through digital means, a cyber kitchen-style interactive virtual scene.



Since the cost of API from “X” is unaffordable, we chose social media platforms that are popular in China and used web crawler scripts to collect discourses under the topics tagged with female stereotypes. With Text-to-3D and Text-to Speech AI technologies, we transformed the "sugar-coated" patriarchal rhetoric into 3D models and triggered the production of food along with AI voice, shaping the immersive experience of being "drowned in spittle".



Kitchenware is given the image of the mouth as an imagery of patriarchal discourse and evaluation. The constant production of "rubbish food" represents the multiple roles and pressures women face in society and in the home, transported then creating a growing "mountain of oppression". Player can use x-box controller to trigger the switch of food production, also to explore the vast and dynamic 3D realm. This hostage proportionality encourages the player to be immersed in a situation that is difficult to break away from.



Ultimately, with the help of fancy visual language, we co-constructed a multi-dimensional interactive experience in alienated kitchen, inviting viewer to be in the immersive environment to re-examine the social construction of stereotypical gender roles.
